Departure
Well, the time has finally come. After months of preparation and anxiety, the trip is finally here. We are leaving bright and early tomorrow morning. Our flight doesn't actually leave, but we have to get up at 5:00am in order to be at the airport at 6:00am. So...we should all be in bed. However, we still have to take all of the extra vehicles out to their safe destination for the 3 weeks that we will be gone. We will be leaving quite shortly to do this, as our last team member is almost to my house. I do hope you will all keep up with us, as we will be updating our adventures and exploits in this blog. We are all very excited, and I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that we are at least a little nervous as well. We are to be teaching English to Thai students, as many of you know, and we're not entirely sure how we're going to do this. Tonight has been exciting already, as we've been enjoying each other's company. Zac shaved his beard off just about an hour ago, seeing as how bearded men are evidently considered less than upright in the Thai culture. I also cut my hair, just for the pure ease of care. We are all now sitting in my living room, playing Guitar Hero II, and getting ready to go. Hopefully we will get some good sleep tonight before our journey officially begins. Please pray for us as we make the long trip over to Asia. We would also ask that you would pray for the Thai people that we are going to see, that they would be open to the words that we want to share with them. I hope to keep in touch with all of you regularly. I will post again sometime during our journey over if I can find internet reliable enough to do so. Either way, I will be updating every day or two while we are there. Thanks again for all of your prayers and support. God Bless.

Looking forward to hearing from you, soon....son! I'm sure you know, but make sure that all participants know that they are being prayed for, by many people back here.
btw...you said NWA flight 10....10 goes from MN to China, and then to Tokyo....did you have a stop in China that you weren't expecting? Or was it supposed to be flight 19, that goes direct from MN to Tokyo?
Blog soon!
Love,
Dad
